PeacePlayers has local programs in Cyprus, the Middle East, Northern Ireland, South Africa, and the US. Since its inception in 2001, PeacePlayers has reached over 70 million young people and trained over 2,000 coaches through its various programs. It has also worked with over 260 partner non-profits and schools across the globe. The Sports and Peace Innovation Network (SPIN), for instance, has had 22 SPIN projects on five continents since 2010. SPIN serves as a resource for training and consultation for the global community.
PeacePlayers’ Office of Organizational Learning (OOL) monitors and evaluates the organization’s work of uniting communities in conflict with the use of sports. Using the Most Significant Change (MSC) as a monitoring and evaluation tool provides PeacePlayers in understanding how change can happen within the context of its complex programs. The OOL has also commissioned New York University to conduct a multi-year randomized control trial study to look into the impact of PeacePlayers programs in the Middle East.
